Mohammad Ishfaq Ahsan (CIP), a Dynamic and Creative second-generation entrepreneur in Bangladesh’s Garment industry, is contesting as a director candidate in the upcoming BKMEA (Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association) election. He is representing the Progressive Knit Alliance, led by Mohammad Hatem, under Ballot No. 1-35.

As the Director of Ahsan Composite Ltd. and the son of Engineer Quamrul Ahsan, a current director of BKMEA, Ishfaq Ahsan has carved out a prominent position in the country’s growing knitwear sector. After completing his higher education in the United Kingdom, he has spent the past 16 years tirelessly contributing to the development of the industry.

Ahsan is widely recognized for integrating modern technology into production, reducing operational costs, and enhancing efficiency. His efforts have significantly improved the industry’s competitiveness while ensuring a safe, sustainable, and dignified work environment that meets global standards.

In recognition of his contributions to export growth in the knitwear sector, he was honored with the prestigious ‘Commercially Important Person’ (CIP) status by the Government of Bangladesh for two consecutive years—2021 and 2022.

Beyond knitwear, Ishfaq Ahsan has also expanded his business footprint into diverse sectors such as Construction, Information technology, Business process outsourcing (BPO), Logistics, and Agriculture.

Industry insiders believe that his commitment to innovation, progress, and sustainability will continue to enrich Bangladesh’s economy and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.
